What we collect

When you ask for a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, suburb and whatever you tell us about the garden. If you become a customer we also hold your address, any access instructions and invoicing details.

Our website records the IP address and browser type of anyone submitting the quote form. This is used only to block spam and abuse.

What we use it for

To quote and carry out the garden work you asked for, to contact you about visits, and to invoice you. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone outside Strong's Horticultural Garden Care and the software providers we use to run the business, who are bound to handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Gate codes and access

Gate codes, key locations and access notes are kept only for arranging visits and are never shared.

Where it is stored

Quote requests and customer records are stored on servers in Australia. We keep customer records for seven years after the last job, as required for tax purposes, and delete quote requests that did not lead to any work after twelve months.

Website analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are and the device you use, through cookies set by Google. It does not record what you type into the quote form. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a complaint you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
